Mission Detail
The December 2021 toy drive to the Caribbean and Latin America, in partnership with Food for the Poor, was a response to the critical needs in these regions. Food for the Poor, one of the largest international relief organizations in the United States, focuses on alleviating extreme poverty and malnutrition in 17 countries across the Caribbean and Latin America. Their work includes providing food, secure housing, clean water, healthcare, emergency relief, and more. The organization’s mission is underpinned by a commitment to spreading unconditional love and ministering to the poorest of the poor in these areas.
Countries such as Haiti, Jamaica, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Belize, Bolivia, Ecuador, Grenada, Panama, Peru, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, and Trinidad and Tobago are among those served by Food for the Poor. Their efforts have made a significant impact in these countries, addressing problems like malnutrition, extreme poverty, unsafe housing, and lack of medical care.
The toy drive initiative by Unite for a Cause aimed to bring not just physical aid in the form of toys and other necessities but also hope and joy to children and families in these regions, showing solidarity and support during challenging times.

The project led by Noor, Eva, and Moe, which expanded to the Caribbean and Latin American regions, was marked by its impressive scope and impactful results. They not only collected hundreds of toys and over 500 pairs of shoes, but also successfully raised a significant amount of money. This funding was used to purchase high-quality, durable toys like soccer balls and jump ropes, ensuring that the children receiving these items would have long-lasting enjoyment. Their initiative stands as an exemplary model of how focused efforts can provide meaningful and enduring support to children in various communities.
